  • Hi Hemant,

Please download the MS CRM v4.0 Implementation Guide from the URL below.
    http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=1ceb5e01-de9f-48c0-8ce2-51633ebf4714&displaylang=en

You will then need to have a read of the Microsoft_Dynamics_CRM_IG_Installing.doc document chapter 2 (2-16). It contains a section on how to upgrade from v3 to v4.

    Hassan.

  • And generally the upgrade can be done in place and it pretty smooth.

There are some things that will not be in the Guide.

If C360 is installed or if there are customizations then I would create a test upgrade environment.

Export the customizations to the environment and see how the upgrade handles them.

Production servers are a bad place for "Surprises".

You will also have some differences in the Exchange connector if in fact you want to keep using it.
