Hosting Files on WHS RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello Everybody. I have a recently built, complelty custom, WHS server. Everything works fine. I would like to host files off it so I could access then from the internet whereever I am. the main reason for this is that I use Microsoft Onenote for work, and my business partner does also. We both work off the same docs. Is there anyway I can put the files on the WHS shared folders and then access tehm from anywhere, without using the standard remote access? Just through Onenote using a web address? Thanks

  • OneNote can store a shared notebook on a file share, a shared storage drive or on a Sharepoint site. Windows Home Server will allow you to store OneNote notebooks in file shares, but (as it doesn't include Sharepoint) not a Sharepoint site. Some users have been able to install Sharepoint on Windows Home Server, but it's an unsupported configuration, so you would be on your own for the most part, as regards issues.
