When trying to run the Windows Genuine Advantage validation check located on the Windows Update web site, you receive the following error code: "0x80080299": http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/919868

  • Hi Tommignon,

If the KB doesn't fix your issue, please download and run the Genuine Diagnostics tool at this link http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=52012 , then click the Windows tab, Copy to Clipboard, then paste the report into a response message in this thread.

    Thank you,
