What has happened to Vista Validation suddenly? RRS feed

  • Question

  • After months of my system working just fine, even this morning - when I got home from work suddenly my version of Vista Home Premium is INVALID???? And from the looks of the posts on here, it seems to have begun yesterday to MANY users. Could anyone explain what went wrong? Were we all hacked? Did suddenly someone get our KEY numbers and thus invalidate a whole slew of users? If it were just me, then I would say it was my system or the Panda Anti-Virus 2007 I just installed, but its not just me. PLEASE TELL US - was this a corrupt update sent out? A virus attack? WHAT????????

  • I'm not sure I understand the advice you were given.  It's much easier for me to look at one thread to find all of your infomation.  Please start new threads when you have a new issue, but if it's the same issue you can safely keep them in one thread.

Please post the error code you get when you validate by clicking "Validate Windows" here: www.microsoft.com/genuine The error code will be gray and in brackets at the end of the message on the page that says validation failed.  (It'll look something like this:  [0xC004C000]).  This will help a lot in getting to the cause of your issue.

    Thanks!

  • No response yet, Microsoft? This problem is a real big one for me.. And it makes no sense at all. I've been using the license for long while now without any problem. Now i can't update and use other features of Vista, which makes my home computer vulnerable. Who is going to be responsable for damage that can be caused? (if any). Hope you can and will respond quickly and appropriately. Vista is an expensive product, so I expect good quality support. Thank you in advance

  • Why has my new thread been merged with this one? The purpose of making a new one with the validation error report was that it wouldn't "get lost", as so adviced by Dan at IT Associates
