Posting does not work on iPhone RRS feed

  • Question

  • I'm spending much more time on my iPhone but I'm finding that I cannot post/reply while using the iPhone.

Is there any chance this can be looked at?

    Thanks -- Peter

  • Are you using the main interface or our mobile interface?

  • Do the forums not automatically switch to the mobile interface based on the browser's UserAgent string?  If now, what's the URL for the mobile interface?

  • I can reply via iPhone. But the body box is really small.

  • Interesting, since the developer who implemented the mobile view, actually has an iPhone... I'll point this thread out to him.

:-) interesting.  I have to admit I tried it after the 2.1 update today; maybe something changed since he tested/created it.

  • Does the Celtic maple leaf avatar signify you're Scottish-Canadian?

Yup. Last name's Fraser. Born and raised just outside Vancouver (though I lived in Toronto for as stint as well)... I noticed earlier the "Rogers" network ID in your screengrab... :)

Also, nice pickup on the Celtic maple leaf. Not many people pick up on both parts of that...

Cool...  Yep, I'm Canadian too--with a Scottish name.

  • Wow, and it still doesn't! Not well, anyway!

So after several attempts to fix this, we found that the Telerik editor we're using (http://www.telerik.com/products/aspnet-ajax/editor.aspx) doesn't support iPhone and iPad. They are currently planning a fix for this.

    Thanks!

  • Actually this is a problem with the telerik editor. We're not sure whether this will first be fixed by telerik or whether we'll make serverside change to simply offer iphone/ipad users a plain edit text box (likely). No eta for this.
