Installing virtual machines for exam preparation. RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am trying to do MCITP exam 70-685, however my pc does not meet the minimum requirement to install Windows 7. I was told that I can install virtual machines to complete the practice exerices. I have searched on Google for ways of doing it, but no much help.

Please help me if you know how should I install virtual machines for exam preparation.

    Thank you very much.

  • If your PC does not meet the minimum requirements to install Windows 7, then it won't meet the minimum requirements for installing a Virtual Machine that will in turn meet the minimum requirements for Windows 7. For instance, if you wish to allocate 1 GB of memory for the virtual machine, then the physical PC that hosts the virtual machine needs to have *more* than 1 GB of memory, so that it can run simultaneously both the VM and the host operating system. The same can be said about the CPU speed and the disk space.

You should install Virtualization software on your system first and than you will be able to install VM of Windows 7.

here is the link of Microsoft Virtual PC you can download it from here.
