Error in installing Email Router for CRM 2011 RRS feed

    Hi All,

    I am Creating a VM for CRM 2011. I have already installed the CRM 2011 OnPremise in it.
    How ever when i tried to install Email router for CRM 2011 On Premise using CRM 2011 Server, it gave me an error of Microsoft exchange.

    Do i need to install  Exchange Server. If so can i get Some references or link on how to do that.

    HI,

     

    In the VM , I have installed exchange 2010 and outlook 2010 and both are working fine.  I have already installed the CRM 2011 OnPremise in it.
    Now when i am trying to install Email Router it is giving me an error "The Microsoft Exchange MAPI subsystem is not installed on this system."
    so for this when i found the resolution to install  MAPI client libraries and CDO 1.2.1 it again gave me an error that was "Messaging API and Collaboration Data Objects 1.2.1 cannot be Installed with Microsoft Outlook".

    Any resolution for this.

    Ok I got the solution 
    At first, Just uninstall outlook 2010 (not whole MS Office), then the install "MAPI client libraries and CDO 1.2.1" , then again Install MS Outlook.

    Now email router is working perfectly fine..

    In addition to Edwin's link, you may also want to consider not installing the Rule Deployment Wizard as this requires MAPI drivers installed and if I am not mistaken, uses exchange server to identify who needs the rules configured.
