re-install after crash?

Question

I downloaded and purchased MS Streets & Trips 2011 about a year ago. Then my computer died. I bought a new one and reinstalled S&T on my new computer, but it calls itself a trial edition. How do I recover and apply/activate the password/registration I paid for a year ago?

Cal, you are talking to the wrong department. While this indeed is the Microsoft's forum, you need to contact the Microsoft's store.Wednesday, February 22, 2012 11:37 PM

Hi Cal,
I think the software activation code is on a sticker attached to the DVD case.

Sure, on the 2010 case. But my version that was lost is the 2011 downloaded version. I paid to have it activated and become a non-free non-trial version. There is no case or sticker on a download. (G) They sent me an activation code when I paid, but that email was lost when the computer died.
The code I do have, which I recovered from a backup, from the old 2011 version, does not fit in the blanks for re-registering the re-installed 2011 version.

Cal, contact the online retailer to find out if there's a way for you (or them) to retrieve your code from their database.Wednesday, February 22, 2012 7:23 PM

That's what this message is. A contact with MS, hopefully. I bought it from Microsoft and this is the Microsoft web site forum.

That worked, thanks. After a few screens in the Support and Contact area, my product code appeared and I entered it and am now using S&T without the trial version nag.
