Cant install WHS connector

Question
-
When I tried to install WHS connector it gets all the way to where it tries to start services - then tells me it cant start and to verify I have sufficient privleges. I am the administor for this single pc and its been working fine until about a week ago.
I have completely removed it, and reinstalled, and it still doesnt change this error. Does anyone have any ideas?
Thanks very much

Hi Steve,
some of the security tools may also create problems by blocking legit access.
Since this is only about a week ago, you could try to use System Restore (if it is on on your client) to roll back the system to the time, in which it was still functioning.
(You should also consider to install SP3 for Windows XP, after this issue is fixed.)

Hi,
this is an unusual error. But you are keeping too many facts secret. So the slightly important answer to the question, which operating system you are using on the system.
Please check the event log of that client for related error messages and warnings. There could be also some malware blocking access (or some overadjusted security suite).
