32 Bit Windows 7 Driver issues with restore RRS feed

  • General discussion

  • I have read in several places of restore problems with 64 bit windows 7, however I ran across an issue wiht a network driver when doing a windows 7 32-bit restore.  Seems the driver stored on the WHS was from the 32 bit windows 7 system, execpt the network driver would not work with the restore CD, so it could not get on the network and could not find the WHS server.

After trying several other things I finally downloaded the 32 bit vista version of the network driver and replaced the ones on the USB stick.  This worked.

MS needs to come up with a restore CD for windows 7, both 32 and 64 bit and this would avoid all these issues.  I am using the power pack 3 beta.

Btw - PP3 RTM has been release some time ago. I suggest ununstalling PP3-beta and updating your server?
