Windows OEM activation not genuine RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have a computer, that after a couple years, is all of the sudden not activated.  The OEM key is not genuine.  No changes have been made to the computer.  The laptop was downgraded from Windows 8 to 7 at the manufacturer.  There is no product key sticker on it.  It is a Lenovo t440p

  • The install here shows signs of Windows 7 having been installed using retail media rather than the proper Lenovo Recovery Media.

As far as I know, the only option is a Recovery to Factory Settings using Lenovo's media. (Unless you want to buy a copy of Windows 7 Pro OEM)
