why isn't my windows validating???? RRS feed

  • Hi,

    I bought my laptop brand new from dell and my windows is not validating....

    The COA is on the computer and it reads exactly as it says on the OEM label which is on the catalog....

    why isn't it validating?

  • Yes, 11PM in the US. :) (at least here in Redmond).

    IE7, Defender, and other such Windows features are only availible to users with a genuine copy of Windows.

    What is the exact error you are recieving? Are you not able to run the Validation?

    If you are not able to run validation, I suggest running through our diagnostics.

    Your System time is correc
    Windows Genuine Advantage Validation Tool 1.5.0526.0 loaded correctly.
     
    1. Sever connection test to Microsoft Download Center was successful.

    2. Server connection test to Microsoft validation servers was successful.
     
    I had to turn my activex across domains to prompt for number 2 above to work...
    still does not validate....

  • I am trying to download IE when validating it says validation failed...

    then it sends me to the page that says buy genuin windows...

    dude its 10:45PM are u in the US still working?
