Do I need Reg Cure (Paretologic) if I have Windows Live OneCare? RRS feed

  • Question

  • I was having problems with my computer.  I couldn't print.  So, I was searching for answers.  I believe I was in a Microsoft site and somehow this DriveCure, RegCure by Paretologic convinced me to do a scan for free.  Well, that's all it did after I downloaded it onto my computer.  To fix anything, I had to pay for it.  It said I had 900+ registry errors and out of date drivers, and all kinds of other problems.  And unbeknownst to me, the reason I couldn't print is because someone turned off the light switch in the room where my router is plugged in (I have a wifi printer).  If it is off, there is no electricity to the wall socket.  Anyway, I tried to uninstall RegCure and it said I have to log in as administrator.  Not sure if and how I do this.  And does it interfere with my OneCare?
