SyncToy couldn't read source file and deleted files RRS feed

    I am having a couple of issues with SyncToy 2.1.  I set SyncToy to Echo (copy) files from my USB hard drive to my PC hard drive (Windows 7 64 bit).  When it was completed, I had several errors indicating it couldn't read the source file. The system cannot find the file specified. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80070002).  In addition, it appears to have MOVED the files from my USB hard drive to the PC hard drive and now I cannot find the files it couldn't read.  Is there any way to retrieve those files?  It shouldn't have removed any files from the USB hard drive!

    1)Was this the first time occured? Have you ever run a initial sync successfully?
    2)When this problem happened, all of your files were moved or only the ones indicated in error infos?
    3)What happened to those moved files?

    If you set the action as Echo, SyncToy should not delete file from left side, your USB hard drive. Can you just copy them just through windows explorer.
