    I have Windows 7: Home Premium. I ran a McAfee scan and there was nothing wrong, but it said my firewall was turned off. I went into the control panel to turn it back on but an error message popped up. "Windows Firewall can't change some of your settings. Error code 0x80070424" How do I turn it back on? Is my computer infected?

    My computer not only has the Firewall error but will not take on new programs to help the situation.  Please give me advice to fix this problem short of buying a new computer.

     hi   followers , first update your system , by using microsoft  update website   and  then  reboot  once  .

    if  your OS is  xp means , install  SP3  , and  if  vista  means , install  SP1

    solutions 

    1. try   MICROSOFT FIX IT   by using this link , its  fully free      http://fixitcenter.support.microsoft.com/Portal/   and  then installadn  use  your  hotmail emailand  password. i hope this  method solve your most problems.

    2. above  method not working means , uninstall MACAFEE  and  the  try install   KASPERSKY INTERNET SECURITY 2012  from this  link

    http://www.kaspersky.com/kis-trial-register  enter email address and  then start download. iam using this  for two years  i not getting any problems .
