  • If you remove create permissions from all the security roles then this will be done for all the users.

    OR

    Use this tool:-

  • Hi Tanu,

What you are asking for is not possible in supported way.

    Please go through below post:

    http://social.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/96ea462a-f0cb-45c3-9871-590d0a7daf69/crm-2011-remove-shortcut-menu-from-left-hand-navigation-area?forum=crm

what you can do is Hide the Quote Entity from Sitemap to avoid creation of quotes from Sitemap.

  • Hi Saad,

Removing Quote entity will remove complete Quote, including System views and recent Quotes.

I want to hide only "New".

    Any additions ?

  • Hi Tanu,

The only possible way to acheive it is not supported by CRM.

Unsupported way is to go to Application Server and make changes in system files. But  I will not recommend it.

  • If you want to hide this option to specific users ?? if yes then you can setup a security role and remove create permission from quote, include other permission and make sure they don't have any other higher security role which will allow them to create quote.

  • Hi Mahender,

    Thankyou for your reply.

But i want to hide it for all. From you reply, i think that it is not possible.

I have tried removing Quotes from SiteMap, but it removes complete Quote entity.

As a workaround, i would like to hide the shortcut menu ( new + system views + Recently Visited) and show Quotes in Sales area. Is this possible ? If yes, how ?

  • If you just want to remove create options from above screen and want to keep it all other place, there is any supported way of doing this.
