CRM4 Outlook Client Error RRS feed

  • Hi,

    I'm having an issue with client connecting with Outlook to CRM4 (ru12) install, their getting an 401 unauthorized error when you run the configuration wizard but if you browse to the server in IE it works fine. Have checked the stored managed passwords, checked the IE/Security Settings for User Authentication - auto logon with current username and password, also added it to the Intranet zone, tried the trusted zone too with no luck

    Theirs an error on the server which says this -

  • I found that the FQDN was missing from the SPN, updated it and job's a good un :)

  • Some more details

     

    If i connect to the name of the server in IE then i get this error:

    HTTP Error 401.1 - Unauthorized: Access is denied

    but if i use the IP then its fine.... any ideas what could cause this?

  • Hey mate -

    I just experienced almost the same problem and made a ticket at microsoft partner support.

    You need to uninstall the RU12 since its a bug in it (and also in 13), and install RU11. Microsoft are working on a fix, but its not available yet.
