Build 7600 and Now computer only starts in SafeMode

Question
-
Last night I noticed in the bottom right corner of my screen a message like "Build 7600 not genuine". The computer was running really slowly and I decided to try restarting. Now it will only start in safe mode. The computer has been acting funny since mid-May when I installed or attempted to install some Microsoft updates. By acting funny I mean IE sometimes take an hour or more to start and even on a good day it'll take more than 1 minute to start. Sometimes programs such as MSWord start in a reasonable time and sometimes they take more than a minute or two.
I ran Microsoft Genuine Advantage Diagnostic Tool:

I would start by looking for malware - your report is showing nothing serious (the only error messages say that the Software Protection Service cannot be started in Safe Mode, which is quite normal.Start up in Safe Mode with Networking - download and install Malwarebytes Anti-Malware (free- www.malwarebytes.org) - do NOT activate the Real-Time scanner - it has a few wrinkles yet. Then Update it, and run a full system scan - delete everything it finds, and then see what happens when you reboot.
