capture the next rendered frame button is grayed out RRS feed

  • Question

  • For an app made in C++ and DirectX11.

I would like to debug the graphics in our app. Like we used to be able to on the 360 using PIX. But the "capture the next rendered frame" button is grayed out. Is it possible to debug graphics on the Xbox One?

  • No we are using VS2012. But I found out that it's not enabled for the ADK.

  • Hi davidstlyoui,

    Do you use the VS2013?

    Based on this document here:

    https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh873207.aspx?f=255&MSPPError=-2147217396

When an app is running under Graphics Diagnostics, the Capture the next rendered frame button is enabled.

Maybe this document would be helpful for you:

    https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh708964.aspx

In addition, since it is related to the specific Games app, to really help you resolve this issue, if still no help, I suggest you post this issue to the Xbox site which has his own supported forums:

    http://xboxforums.create.msdn.com/forums/76.aspx

I think you could get more dedicated support there.

    Sincerely,

    Jack
