Actually, the final frame in this sequence was the weirdest. It didn't reflect the unPropose which just occurred. Very confusing.

It can. The Propose button does have UnPropose. Once you proposed an answer you should be able to unpropose it.

I've not so many points like you, but I think you should know that I knew this.
However, it was yesterday not anymore there how many times I tried and restarted Chrome. So please do not reply on messages were my reaction is obvious,

Well, it was not clear from your message if you knew that or not. If you would say I know that the Propose button is supposed to turn into Unpropose but it does not do this for me in this thread and give the thread, then it would be completely different matter and I would understood you're reporting a bug. Otherwise I thought you didn't know that this was a recently (about a year or so) implemented feature in the forums.
