  • Hello, Has anyone ran across this when opening Outlook you get this error, Microsoft Outlook, The form region "MSCRM_WebPageFormRegion" cannot be opened. The form region manifest contains invalid XML? User is using CRM 2011 Online and installed the 2011 Online Outlook client. Can't find anything close to this.

  • Having never seen this anywhere before,

The Outlook Client Diagnostics Tool will be of help...

Start -Programs - MS CRM 2011 - Diagnostics

Go to the Advanced Troubleshooting TAB and enable tracing.

Try to reproduce the error and check the trace logs located @ C:\Users\xxx\AppData\Local\Microsoft\MSCRM

This should point you in the right direction !

  • Hi yeshpower

I have a client machine that is seeing the same error message as you.  This error appeared after I enabled Show add-in user interface errors in Outlook 2010 from Files > Options > Advanced > Developers. Is this the same with you?

In addition to this error message, all the tiny icons that are seen next to each crm record (each entitiy has its own icon) are displaying the same icon. The icon is exactly the same as the Outlook contacts icon. Are you seeing the same issue?

Only one client machine is seeing this.  It has Office 2010 32 bit and is configured for CRM 2010 on premise.  I have tried different windows profiles, uninstalled Outlook and CRM client and all organisations are seeing this issue.  All other client machines are not seeing this.

I suspect that the BPOS sign on tool is causing a few problems?  Do you have BPOS sign on wizard installed on this machine as well?

I forgot to add that I have checked the traces and there doesnt seem to be any thing of value in there. or any mention of the above error.

  • I have the same problem as well. I tried the CRM online stuff - ended up deciding it wasnt quite what we needed ( went with Zoho instead ) and then uninstalled the CRM Outlook client. Since then, I get these messages all the time, and Outlook crashes 6+ times a day. I am guessng the uninstall of the CRM Outlook client has left some residual config data in place that Outlook is trying to use.... but I have not / cannot find it. Any suggestions?

  • Hi all,

I experienced the same problem on my pc and was able to solve it thanks to a hint in another forum thread (http://social.microsoft.com/Forums/en/crmdeployment/thread/d62b02f3-2e00-4610-95c5-50f11e0ba7e4).
Here is the simple step that resolved the issue for me:

    1. Uninstall "Microsoft Office 2007 Primary Interop Assemblies"

However, in my case, after restarting outlook, the CRM ribbon was disabled. I resolved that by:

    1. Close Outlook
    2. Start Dynamics CRM 2011 Configuration Wizard
    3. Remove the organization from the configuratuin wizard and close.
    4. To make sure I could add a clean configuration I also removed all files from C:\users\<YourUserName>\AppData\Local\Microsoft\MSCRM (You can use %appdata% to get to the appdata folder)
    5. Started Outlook again and I was prompted by the CRM Configuration wizard to configure an organization. After configuration everything worked again without error messages.
    6. Hurray!

I am not not sure that step 4 and 5 are absolutely required to make it work again. As mention, I wanted to make sure to have a clean reconfiguration. You can always try to skip step 4 to see if it would work directly.
Step 6 is definitely required if you were struggling with this issue for a few weeks/months. :)

  • Wim,

Ran into a similar situation - in place upgrade from CRM 4 Outlook Client to CRM 2011 Client threw same errors and eliminated 90% of the ribbon bar. Ran your process - uninstalled Interop Assemblies and ran the steps but didn't do #4

    Thanks.
