  • Look a bit deeper in the "Shared folders on Server" shortcut created on the desktop..

You wil see a "Personal Folder" for each user in "Users"

There are not automatic ways at this time built in to WHS to sync with the "My Documents" Folder however there are other options.

Offline folders in WinXp and a free MS utility  SYNCTOY avaialble for free download.

This has been discussed in the forum so should be able to find more in the forum.

The shared documents folder of the clients "are" backed up. The whole PC is  except temp files, the pagefile ETC.. (unless you explicitly exclude a file or folder) you can use the Synctoy but it would just use extra space on the data drive(s) for files that are already being backed up there anyway. The WHS shares are seperate from the backup of the client PC

The only files that you need to put into the WHS shares are ones you want available to other users (local or remote) the rest you can still get to either locally or through remote desktop.
