  • Mr. Young - How are you sir!?

Yes - you run Streets and Trips on your laptop.

Your GPS Device must be plugged in to your laptop to have it plot your position and provide driving guidance.

If you've plotted a route on your S&T - then the GPS will provide you turn by turn audible driving instructions.  If you stray off the path - it will automatically re-route you to your destination.

  • And to clarify, the "GPS device" is a receiver. It is not a navigation device or "Personal Navigation Device" (as the S&T docs call it or "satnav" which is the British colloquial name, and more accurate than the US "GPS" which can lead to to confusion).

The GPS receiver has a USB connector and then needs something (typically a laptop) to read the location from it.
