Evidently my windows XP is not validated. I had to format my hard disk and had a computer tech re-intall windows using my disc. There is a program that I'm trying to install and it states that I can't install it on this oper. system. What do I do now? RRS feed

  • From your MGA Report:

    Windows License Type: Volume

    Validation Status: Invalid Product Key

Apparently, you have a Windows XP CD that is only to be used with a Microsoft Volume Licensing Agreement which is usually reserved for large business enterprises.  As an individual user, you should be using only a "retail" or "OEM" Windows XP CD.  In order to "Get Genuine", please visit  Genuine Microsoft Advantage and click on Validate Windows.  After validation fails, click on the Get Genuine button to learn how to acquire a Microsoft WGA Kit.

  • Hello Ross Hod,

Would you happen to have a retail package for Windows with a Certificate of Authenticity (CoA) on the boxtop, a yellow-orange Proof Of License label on the back of the heavy paperboard foldr inside the box with the product key printed on it, and with a genuine hologrammed installation disc inside?

Or would the computer happen to have a Certificate of Authenticity for any version or edition of Windows affixed to the computer case?

If so let us know what version and edition of Windows is listed on the CoA, but don't post the product key that may be printed on the CoA.
