Hello Lamermann,
It's possible that the *.dat file that is being picked up is in a nonstandard location that the FixIt normally does not check, or that there was yet another previous version of Office that uses a different license file name.
Search your computer for these files:
Opa12.dat
Opa11.dat
Data.dat
Before the OGA program was retired last week, we would have also advised you to visit www.microsoft.com/genuine and to click on the Validate Office button, which would have rerun the oga validations utility and most likely would have cleared up the issue. Looking at your report, I can see that these two lines are showing nonstandard values and that also could be a source of your issue:
OGA Version: Registered, 1.6.28.0
Signed By: N/A, hr = 0x80096010If the advice about searching for the *.dat files does not work, I would suggest doing an internet seearch for "remove oga" to see manual uninstallation instructions.

Hello Lamermann,

Your current installation of Office H&S 2007 is showing as a genuine retail licensed installation of Office, so no worries with that one :-)You wrote, "Note: This computer DID have a pirate version of Office 2007 Enterprise Edition when I bought it used. I uninstalled this version and put on my store purchased Office Home and Student 2007. Is this part of the problem?"
Yes, the previous nongenuine installation did leave behind its license file, which is not deleted or overwritten with a reinstallation or uninstallation. hat's probably what's being picked up as "nongenuine."
Please run the MS FixIt or follow the "Let Me Do It Myself" steps in Method 1 of this MS KB article: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/919895
It's likely that you will have to reactivate your existing Office H&S 2007 after running the FixIt and restarting, but that should only take a few seconds for online activation and should go smoothly. Not to worry about "using up" one of the three allowed simultaneous activations with Office H&S 2007 as it is on the same computer so it won't count as a new activation.
Post back to let us know how you do :-)

Thanks for the quick reply.
I ran the MS FixIt from the link provided (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/919895). After running it, I rebooted my computer, and ran Word 2007. It prompted me to re-activate. I successfully re-activated through the internet and restarted Word 2007. However, the "This copy of Office is not genuine" tab still displays. :(.Friday, December 24, 2010 4:36 PM -
