Edge A/V conferencing server configuration RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have a problem with Audio Video externally through Live Meeting. Audio Video works fine internally. I have an Edge server in a DMZ, I use an ISA 2006 firewall. I have configured the SHUN and MTLS protocols to pass through the ISA server to the Edge server and the Front End server. This is the error message I get when connected to a Live Meeting and try to enable video:

    Voice and Video Error Information
Audio and/or video was unexpectedly disconnected by the audio and video server.

Action required: Try rejoining the audio and/or video.

  • Do you have a public or NAT'd IP address on the Edge A/V Authentication server

  • The Edge server has two Nics, The external NIC is connected directly to the internet, the internal NIC is connected to the DMZ and is only routed. We don't have NAT configured for the edge server.

  • Judging by the reference to 5063 in your error message, can I assume that you are collocating all three Edge Server roles on the same public IP address and have changed the default ports on some services?

  • Thank you for your assistance with this. Yes, I am consolidating all of the edge roles on the same box. I have the web conference server configured to listen on port 443 externally and the A/V conferencing server configured to listen on port 444 externally.
