  • it would be nice to implement a telephony function to consolidate those data like voice-/message recorder and functions like webcam/messenger

  • Yeah I'd like something like that - maybe an add-in that will pick-up incoming calls after a set-number of rings, records the message to one of your shares you can access externally, and then e-mail/SMS to let you know a message has arrived so you can listen to it remotely.

  • I have installed a Fritz! card in my WHS. It works as an answering set and as a fax. The tools that came with the ISDN-card can send you an  Email with the call or fax as attachment or an information via sms. The Problem is just that you have another application running on the server, that can be an aim for Hackers. But this isn't a problem if your router is well-configured. and you can only send a fax from the WHS as the software an drivers prohibite a sharing with other clients on the network.

  • Telephony integration could also be done  via router (e. g. AVM Fritz!Box).
