Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit OEM not genuine (after update)

Question
-
Hello
My Windows 7 Home Premium OEM suddenly became "not genuine" today. I had this Windows for 3 days .....
I've previously read about this as I was concerned about an update which can trigger this not genuine hassle. I believe it was the KB971033 update which was sitting there on its own in the Update Centre until this morning when automatic updates downloaded and installed it (even though I turned auto updates off).Is my copy pirated ?
I checked the disk and the packaging I recieved and it all resembled a genuine Microsoft product, I do have a COA sticker as well which has a Key code on it.Please help!
Thanks in advance !

I've noticed just now that the "Windows Product Key" on the COA sticker is different to the visible part of the "Windows Product Key" on the 4th line of this diagnostics report.Tuesday, April 2, 2013 12:12 AM

Thanks for your input, but on my previous system I didn't have to enter a key, that one came pre-installed too. Never had a problem.
I'm just worried that this one is pirated because it says not genuine after such a short time, it's not even like i could get infected by a virus and have my key stolen. On my previous PC it never said "not genuine"... I just don't want to be typing passwords through a pirated OS, that's all.Can anyone else comment on the report please ?

royalty OEM manufacturers such as Dell HP, and etc. use an OEM SLP key which self activates
you have a retail motherboard which requires the product key from your proof of license label included in your windows package.
it is showing not genuine because of the default key. (do you have an orange proof of license label with the key?)
where did you purchase this?
you will have to enter it using the above instructions.
OEM SLP: This key comes pre-installed in Windows, when it comes from the Factory. This key is geared to work with the special instructions found only on that Manufacturer's computer hardware. So when Windows was installed using the OEM SLP key (at the factory) Windows 7 looks at the motherboard and sees the special instructions and Self-Activates. (that's why you did not need to Activate your computer after you brought it home)

I bought my copy (Win7 Home Premium 64 bit OEM) from Amazon UK. It came in a slim DVD pack (the outer packaging had the license terms on it) and a COA sticker on the DVD pack (which has a product key on it). That's all i have.Tuesday, April 2, 2013 2:20 AM

use the product key on the COA.
is this a branded OEM disk such as Dell or HP or is it a system builder disk?
when you get the product key changed post a new diagnostic.
