Access Credentials: User Specified RRS feed

  • Question

  • CRM 2011 IFD on-premise  AD Federation Services

    CRM 2011 email router

One of the Incoming profiles which I created will use Access Credentials: User Specified. I know that User Specified means that users have to within CRM for Outlook Set Personal options\email tab input their nt user name and password or they can do this using the CRM Web Client File Options\email tab.

I understand that by setting the email tab, it will cache the users credential information within CRM.

Question: What happens if the user changes their nt password? If the user changes their nt password does this mean they also have to change the password within either CRM for Outlook Set Personal options\email tab or can the CRM Web Client File Options\email tab?

    many thanks

  • They also have to change the password in CRM.  There is no automation that lets CRM know when a user changes their NT password.

So users would have to remember to change their password in both places from then on.
