ReInstall OneCare after having a hard drive failure RRS feed

  • Question

  • Question,

I keep several pc's here going, but when one has system failure and you have to start all over again, how do you reinstall onecare without paying for it a second time?

I have had 2 pc's to die recently, and I had to start from scratch, loading windows and everything. I went to the onecare website and download the software for one care. I do believe it added it to my bill.

I have multiple pcs with onecare installed, how do I get out of this scenerio and how do I check to see how many pc's are in my circle?

  • If you have an active subscription, which is what was created when you activated on the first computer, you need to use the same LiveID on the subsequent activations.  As long as you do this, they are part of your initial subscription. You can have OneCare installed on up to 3 PCs, but you can reinstall or transfer as many times as needed.

On each PC, open OneCare and click Help and then About to see your Subscription ID.
