Limited and Device CAL CRM 2011 RRS feed

  • Hello forum

    How do we have to use limited CALs technically? Just set the Limited flag within the CRM user? If the user has system administrator role (just example) and set to limited, the user still has adminrights. Is there a technical influence of setting the flag to limited or is this just administrationwise?

    The same question is with the device CAL. Is this just for administration purposes and has no othter impacts?

  • There is no functionality in CRM which limits 'limited CAL' user privileges.

    It's just an 'agreement' between you and MS that users with limited CAL will use CRM according to Pricing and Licensing Guide mentioned by Jamie.
