VIRTUAL PC IN XP MODE RUNNING TOOO SLOW

Question
-
I think the title says it all- When I switch to xp via virtual pc, everything I do takes FOREVER for the xp brain to catch up and perform. From right-clicking icons, opening websites/programs, running anything. The virtual machine loads fine and closes okay though.
Any ideas?
