Hi.
You shouldn't have my problem doing this, so long as Windows 7 was originally on the computer. Note that all filles (pics, docs - everything!) will be completely erased forever so back them all first!
Sometimes computers are sold today with brand new hardware that only have drivers available for the latest Operating System (OS). For example, you might have a network card that only works with a Windows 8 driver, meaning they never bother to make a
Windows 7 driver for that newly released network card.
If your computer originally came with Windows 7, you should be able to use a restore disk or restore partition on the hard drive to return it the state it originally was when you bought it.
If you bought it new computer that came with Windows 8+ and you want to install Windows 7, you may or may not be successful because of the required software drivers used to communicate with the hardware. You will need to go to the computer manufacturer's
site and download/install missing drivers. You should always create screenshots of all the hardware installed in the Device Manager screen so you know what hardware you have before doing this.
Have an experienced buddy help you if this is a new process for you. If you screw it up, you might not be able to bring it back to a usable condition without profe$$ional help.
BTW - I am not sure why you are going back from Windows 8 to Windows 7, unless you miss the class Start menu. If that is the reason why you want to switch, perhaps consider installing the free Classic Start app, which gives you back the standard
Start menu: http://classicshell.net/
Good luck!
