SyncToy 2.0Beta spawns huge numbers of taskeng.exe processes RRS feed

    SyncToy 2.0 Beta

Music Folder containing 350MB and 87,000 files

When syncing this folder from Vista-64 PC to Windows Home Server PC, it scans both the local and remote folders and then starts spawning multiple taskeng.exe processes. Each takes about 1.7M of RAM and has a description of "Task Scheduler Engine" - After 8 hours of processing, I now have 115 instances showing in Windows Task Manager. Noteworthy is that these processes do not end if I terminate SyncToy. I have to reboot to kill the multiple taskeng.exe processes. I also see shorts bursts of network activity followed by 5-10 minutes of no network activity.

I used to sync this folder regularly with SyncToy 1.4 under both WinXP and Vista86. When I moved to Vista64 and SyncToy 2.0, I started to have problems.

I've deleted the SyncToy text files yet this problem remains 100% repeatable. Any suggestions?
