Does this error always occur when modifying incidents, or is it an occasional error ? And does it occur when updating any other audited entity ?
If it's a one-off, or infrequent, error, one cause could be if SQL Server needs to expand either the data or the log file, which may take longer than the SQL timeout.
The application event log on the CRM server should also contain more information about the SQL statement that failed

Hi David,
Thanks for the reply. This is an infrequent error, only observed in incident audit history. How may i check if it is occurring due to SQL server log file expand that is taking a long time?
Please advice. Thank you!
