Anyway to use more than 8gb RAM?

Question

I know the OS is hardcoded to 8gb, but is it possible to use a RAM drive to soak up another 8gb? That would be useful as a scratch drive for transcoding and such.Thursday, May 10, 2012 11:32 AM

Hi,
I don’t think so. Please also refer to the following thread:

If you want to use more than 8GB RAM, please consider to use other editions of Windows Server.

Not that I am aware of as a RAM drive will only work on RAM recognised by the OS. How about using a small capacity SSD?
