Another 'Alert Me' issue RRS feed

  • Question

  • Alert me was working fine when I first started posting frequently about a month ago.

I then got fed up of receiving both email and alerts, so changed my settings to just emails. At this point all alerts stopped working.

Changed my settings back and now I get only a subset of the correct alerts.

I know that some of the forums are shared (or something like that) which causes bugs, but I don't think either of the VC++ forums are, which is where I'm subscribed to most of my alerts?!?

    Any thoughts?

  • As far as I can tell it is not fixed. The forums engine trigger that sets the Alert Me bit does not work most of the time. Most of the time I have to go back and manually set the Alert Me. This is not about email settings or Configure Alerts settings.

(edit: this is not about a +3 year old issue)

  • This issue seems to be fixed by Forum updates.

    Thanks!

I don't know. I never have to manually set Alert Me, and it works 100% for me. Anybody else have an opinion on this?
