Integration problem between CRM and Outlook RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi all,

I have some issues with a CRM client:

The outbound e-mail for the CRM user is configured as "Microsoft Dynamics CRM for Outlook" but if I open the outlook menu CRM/Options/E-mail tab I can't see the usual checkbox to allow the incoming and outgoing e-mail through Outlook.

The other issue (I think both are related) I can't throw mail merge from this client, the mail merge options didn't appear (like if I were executing CRM form Web client).

If I run the Configuration Wizard, it works fine again, but 6 or 7 minutes later the checkbox and mail merge options disappear again...

Is a local machine issue because there are alot of users wih the same security role.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks in advance

  • Check also if your Outlook Client is a Primary One it may happened that you're using more then one Outlook client with the same credetencials and these options will be grayed out.

  • Outlook 2007 or 2010? I´ve seen this on an 2010 Outlook Client which has been updated from 2007 Outlook. The workaround was to delete the outlook profile, create it new and configure the outlook client again. Also we had to delete temporary internet files from IE.
