2 Bug and Usability Suggestion on New Migrated Forums, Lost Profile also RRS feed

  • Question

  • Migration Issue
In new migrated forum, my profile did not move over. my Display name was BizWorld-Moonis and in new migrated forum, my profile is coming up as very old profile. It also says 420 posts in My Threads page but on old one there were 423 in my thread page. so not sure which thread is missing. or just new one is correct. my points look fine.

    Usability BUG 1
List view and Thread view button on toolbar does not make any difference to appearance.

    Usability Suggestion
New migrated forum has a new functionality of Propose as Answer. I saw this morning that several people who actually should have marked a reply as ANSWERED , they are marking them as Propose as Answer because new look & feel is confusing on a thread reply. it has so many options together which is confusing. Suggestion is to take off Propose as answer ICON from the toolbar and put this on either left most corner of the toolbar or in footer of reply box so that it can be seperated from Mark as Answer icon.

    Usability Suggestion 2
When we post a reply using Submit button on right side, it takes 2 to 5 seconds and it is confusing that no HOVER OR busy icon or any status appear that please wait saving your reply etc. I know it is AJAX and you guys did it to do only reply post back rather than full page post back but you need to add some kind of status on submit button press till it is saved.

  • This appears to be fixed (by various updates over 3+ years).

If you still need access to your old account, let us know! It's been 3+ years, but you never know.

    Thanks!
