Remove From My Forums

no audio on xp pro

I have duplicate devices in device manager e.g. kernel audio splitter giving me code 42 errors in "problem devices".They are greyed out as "hidden devices".When I uninstall them they get reinstalled after restart.I have loaded SP3 & had a virus which I've removed.Is there something in the registry which keeps reinstalling these devices?
