Windows Vista suddenly not genuine copy

Question
-
Hi,
I have an ACER laptop running Vista. Has been running fine for years, but suddenly I'm getting this Windows update message stating that I'm not running a genuine Windows product. I had thought this might be due to an interrupted Windows update or something like that...see, we moved house during this time and our internet service was interrupted for a couple of weeks, so I had supposed that the internet connection must have been disconnected part-way through downloading a Windows update. And if this was the case, then when I regained access I would be able to update Windows and everything would be fine. But not so...
I try to run Windows update and I'm stymied by the error code indicating that I'm not running a genuine version of Windows. BUT I REALLY AM...HONEST!
Anyhow, I would be very grateful for any help. I have no idea what's going on. Here's my MGA report.
Please help!
Thanks,
Ian

Noel, at the moment I'm thinking you are a genius. It looks like it's worked. The non-genuine software message that had been on the desktop in the lower right of the screen has now disappeared.
Here's the result from the MGADiag report. Is there anything more I should do?
Thanks very much for your help. It's much appreciated.

That looks good to me – one last check and you should be good to go.....go to www.microsoft.com/genuine/validate and Windows should pass validation (at which point you’ll be offered MSE and IE9 – you don’t have to take them)Good Luck!
