feature request: SDXC support in Windows Mobile 7 RRS feed

  • Question

  • I'm a storage-hungry Windows Mobile user, and I'd very much like Windows Mobile 7 to be compatible with SDXC cards. It was ery frustrating to have to wait so long for Windows Mobile compatiblity back when SDHC cards came out, and I hope that Microsoft moves quickly to make Windows phones compatible with upcoming SDXC cards. By the time Windows Mobile 7 phones come out, a 64GB iPhone may be available, and SDXC compability would help Windows phones compete in storage.

Not sure how best to communicate this request to the Windows Mobile development team. If there's a better place to do it, please let me know!

  • Thanks for the feedback Alan. You've posted to the right place and I've made sure the team has seen your good idea and context. (your posting got me thinking about a comparison on the PC hard drive side -- it's been amazing to see Moore's Law in action with affordable terabyte drives available in the same price range of the multi-gig drives just 18 months ago...)

I'm marking this thread as answered for our team's tracking purposes but the thread stays open for ongoing views and postings.

    Much appreciated.
Thank you from the Microsoft Windows Mobile Team
