Windows Activation Technologies - Windows 7 not running genuine, error 0x004fe21

Question
-
Hi,
I installed upgrade from Vista to Windows 7 Home Premium a long time ago and everything was fine. A couple of months ago I started receiving this error message which means I can no longer update. I have re-entered the product key which was accepted however the error message remains. I tried going to the validation website and again the only option was to purchase a new version. Diagnostic report below as requested, please review and advise what I can do to correct this. thank you.

Hi Colin,
Thank you for your reply. I checked the link you provided however it took me to a HP website to update the driver. Since my computer is a Dell, I did a general google search and updated the suggested driver(s) direct from the Intel website. After one restart my updates started to install and after another restart my computer is like new.
Thanks so much for your assistance, I couldn't believe the fix was so simple. I should have contacted this forum earlier.

The mismatches suggest that you need to reinstall the Intel Rapid Storage Drivers. This can be caused by a recent update.
Download the Intel Rapid Storage Drivers from here:
http://bit.ly/xmcovN
You’ll need the set for the x64 (64-bit) platform on Win7.
Once complete, please reboot twice, then post another MGADiag report.
Good Luck!Colin Barnhorst Windows 7 Ultimate x64 on DIY with 6GB ram.

Please post a new MGADiag report so that we can confirm the cure :)

The drivers are used by most manufacturer's so the fact you have a Dell makes no difference. Many drivers are that way. Glad it is fixed now. Post a new report.
