  • If I have OneCare, do I also need Windows Defender?

  • No - one is built in - but you could have a second one as a back up. I use A squared free.

  • Further to Tom's post, Defender is disabled by OneCare as the protection of Defender is built into OneCare. You never want two active scan engines running, so if you choose to run another spyware app, make sure that it is not always running, but only scans when you start a manual scan.
