Easy way to run the command line option

  Hi All ,
  
  I tried to create a .cmd file containing the command with the    (  -R ) option . but when i double click on it  , the command shell appears and then immediately disapears. and nothing is synced.
  
  I found a thread in the forum suggesting a vb script to run it as a scheduled task.
  
  is there an easy way to create a shortcut on the desktop and the user would then double click it and get going ?
