CRM 2015 online, qualify and disqualify lead in business process flow RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

Is there a good example to force user to qualify and disqualify lead in business process flow, instead of the 'Qualify' and 'Disqualify' buttons in command bar in CRM 2015 Online?

  • I've done this to allow users to control whether an opportunity is created. I add a two-option field named something like create opportunity in the business process flow. A real-time workflow works with the business process flow to convert the lead to an account/contact and an opportunity if selected in the business process flow. I hide the qualify and disqualify buttons (using Ribbon Workbench) to ensure that the business process flow is used. Also, the Exiting Account and Existing contact fields in the process flow are helpful to prevent the creation of duplicate records.

  • When qualifying lead manually (using Business Process Flow by triggering a workflow), is there an easy way to copy subgrid records over.  For instance, I have 3 competitors associate with Lead 1.  After qualifying Lead 1 to Opportunity 1, I want these 3 competitors copied over to Opportunity 1's competitor subgrid.  This is exactly what out-of-box qualifying lead does.  Thanks.

  • That is a good question. I don't think there is an easy way without resorting to some form of development.
