Hi, I'm not sure I posted at the right place but, I need support and I can't even get it because my Product ID doesn't work and I'M certainly not going to pay 59 CAD after buying Windows Vista for 200$ + !
At first I wanted help by a support team because no matter what I did, check for virus, change configuration, settings such as pop-up blocker and still I have pop-under windows opening when I surf the internet.
If I can pretend to know something, this started since I downloaded SP2 and Data Execution Protection was always closing Internet explorer : Internet explorer has to stop. Then a window pop-up from the taskbar and says that D.E.P closed internet for security. It was happening even on certified sites, hotmail, google, etc. It felt like a annoying parent that chooses everything for you before you even think to do anything. So I searched the web and I soppose it was related with a incompatibility problem with explorer 7. So I had to download explorer 8 wich is really annoying to always download something so that an update can work properly. I started to get pop-ups and unders at that time even If I set internet explorer to block pop-ups so I switched to Firefox, didn't change anything.
So what I need is an anwser to resolve these annoying pop-ups\unders and know HOW COME MY PRODUCT ID DOESN'T WORK, wich is pretty insulting.
Note: I had no problem with my computer until I downloaded SP2 and that program D.E.P was installed. I also hate to spend more time on trying to have a normal computer than actually using it all that because of a *suggested and important * update.
For now I'm am clearly -not a satitisfied- customer.
