  • See here for examples of the COA sticker (which could be either on the outer case, or inside the battery compartment) ....

    http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/howtotell/Hardware.aspx

The Key installed appears to be either an Upgrade or a Retail install - but the mahcine would appear to have shipped with Win7 pre-installed, and standard configuration is for Home Premium.

There's no signs of Validation having failed - although since the system hasn't been activated, it shouldn't fail anyhow.

If you mean that the system is failing activation, this could be either because the Key you are using has been blocked for some reason, or because of other problems - but again, there's no indication of this in the report.

Does the Key agree with the one on the COA sticker? If so, then it's fraudulent.

If not, change the Key to teh one on the Sticker using the command

    SLUI  3

    - follow the instructions to change the Key and attemt activation by Internet. If that fails, then attempt acctivation by telephone...

    telephone activation (operator calls)
     Click on the Start button
    in the Search box, type
    SLUI 4
     and hit the Enter key
follow the instructions, but when asked which service you require by the telephone ansafone, do NOT reply - this should force an operator to respond, who can deal with you

  • To properly analyze and solve problems with Activation and Validation, we need to see a full copy of the diagnostic report produced by the MGADiag tool (download and save to desktop - http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=52012 )

    Once downloaded, run the tool.

Click on the Continue button, after a short time, the Continue button will change to a Copy button.

Click on the Copy button in the tool (ignore any error messages at this point), and then paste (using either r-click/Paste, or Ctrl+V ) into your post.

Please state the version and edition of windows from your COA. do not state the product key.

  • Does that mean you think it's fixed?

Please post a new MGADiag report so we can check.
