Microsoft Cerification Member site redirect loops RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

I've received an email from Microsoft Learning regarding keeping my Microsoft Certification account active.

So I go to https://mcp.microsoft.com/Authenticate/Home/Migrate where I am asked for my MC ID and access code. I know my MC ID but I don't have an access code.

I click on the https://mcp.microsoft.com/Authenticate/Home/ResetCode link, but that sends me into a Login Redirect loop. I've tried different browsers on different computers.

Next I try to contact support: http://www.microsoft.com/learning/support/worldsites.mspx, but the link seems to be broken.

So I go to the contact us page of the main website: http://support.microsoft.com/contactus, from there I click IT Professionals and end up on http://support.microsoft.com/gp/contactus81, under the section Microsoft Learning Programs none of the links seem to be working!

Eventually I end up here to find some way of getting any technical support.

    Could you please:
    - Get the MCP website Reset Access Code option working again?
    - Fix all the broken Microsoft Learning Programs hyperlinks?

  • Try this link:

    http://www.microsoft.com/learning/en-us/help.aspx

It is working right now for me.

This provides the telephone numbers for the Regional Service Centers. Call them and explain your problem; they should be able to resend an access code to you.

  • The link isn't working as long as I'm signed in to my Microsoft account (I tried this on IE and Chrome both on W8.1 and Safari on OSX Mavericks). If I start an anonymous browser session I'm able to see the page.

I tried posting a reply on this topic, but the reply buttons didn't work for me yesterday. That issue seems to have resolved itself.

I found a phone number and an email address on the page you referenced. Because it's 2014 (and I'm not some sort of caveman), I obviously used the email address. Got a (very friendly) reply and received a new access code, all this within 24 hours, so I'm happy.

    Thanks for your help!
