project server 2010: what is the MDX expression to obtain the earned value and planned value RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

    I am creating an MDX expression in project server 2010 but I can't figure out what is the expression used to obtain the earned value and planned value. For example, to obtain the actual work, you write [Measures].[Actual Work], to obtain work, you write [Measures].[Work]. What should I write to get the earned value or planned value? I tried [Measures].[Planned Value] and [Measures].[Earned Value], the build of the cube worked but when I open excel and create a pivot table with this data source, I get #VALUE! in all the Planned and Earned Value fields. Note: the MDX field I am adding is in the Calculated Measures Assignment Timephased Cube.

    Thanks,
    George

Answers

  • PV = [Measure].[BCWS]

    EV  = [Measure].[BCWP]

    Is this what you are looking for?

  • Yes I think thats what I am looking for. But still, when I build the database and then display the [Measure].[BCWS] and [Measure].[BCWP] in a pivot table, I get #VALUE! error in all of the rows. Any solutions to this problem?

  • If you are certain that the data exists, and seeing that you are getting no more replies, you should consider opening a case with Microsoft support.
